Since 2006 the Institute for Innovative Technologies (IIT) has been devoting itself to the promotion and the development of the hydrogen technology in South Tyrol and along the Brenner Corridor gaining valuable experiences in the field of zero-emission mobility in general and hydrogen technology in particular. Its vast know-how spaces from the respective infrastructures to different applications, especially in the mobility sector.

Stronger together
In order to promote a sustainable development in South Tyrol and along the Brenner Corridor, strong partners are necessary: the Brenner Motorway and Alperia, as important local stakeholders in the mobility and energy sector which are stronly related to hydrogen, have been among IIT's partners and supporters from the very start.
Furthermore, IIT and the Autonomous Province of Bolzano - and in particular its Innovation and Mobility Departments - have been engaging in close exchange for years with the IIT contributing to the realization of different projects and to the redaction of some important documents (e.g. the hydrogen master plan).
On the way, IIT has entered strategic partnerships, such as with Iberdrola, a global green energy leader (click here to read the press release).
