In these days we have one very special guest at our hydrogen refuelling station in Bozen/Bolzano: a test vehicle of the BMW iX5 Hydrogen. This new fuel cell vehicle will be launched - starting at the end of this year - for worldwide demonstration and test purposes, and is therefore performing final long distance tests.The first step of this tests has led to South Tyrol (and therefore to our HRS), where the mix of mountains, valleys and motorways allows tests in different conditions.
BMW makes with this vehicle a further step towards zero emission mobility: the BMW iX5 Hydrogen is based on a X5 model and unterlindes the BMW group's know-how in regards to electric motor systems, with the fuel cells being the result of a product development cooperation with Toyota.
